Why Repossessed Houses Are Not Usually Found In The Ottawa Greenbelt.
I often get a question from people who receive my Ottawa House Repossession Report. They wonder why most of these homes are not in the greenbelt and why they are on the outskirts of town. The answer is that if you are in trouble with your mortgage and you live within the greenbelt or the central part of Ottawa that you will have no trouble selling your house way before the bank gets their hands on it.
It is very rare to see a repossessed house right in the downtown core of Ottawa. More often the properties are outside the city. We will see houses for sale in Arnprior, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Russel, Embrun, and Rockland. There is a good selection of houses that far from town simply because they are harder to sell there. If there are no repossessed properties in the greenbelt I am happy to find you an alternative house there. |
